Arsene Wenger insists he will not read a new book on Jose Mourinho, despite explosive claims over his relationship with the Manchester United boss.
Wenger and Mourinho have a storied past dating back to the Portuguese’s arrival in the Premier League when he was appointed Chelsea boss in 2004.
The two have often shared insults, and journalist Rob Beasley, in his new book, Jose Mourinho: Up Close and Personal, details how the current United manager once threatened to ‘break Wenger’s face’.
When asked on the controversial comments at his press conference on Friday, Wenger was unmoved.
“I haven’t read the book and I certainly will not read it,” he said. “I cannot comment on that. I talk about football.
“I am not in destructive mode, never. I’m more constructive.”
