The Super Eagles will kick off the final group stage of the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier away to Zambia in Ndola on Sunday.

With the big clash just around the corner, Completesportsnigeria.com's JAMES AGBEREBI takes a look at how the Eagles have fared in their last 10 away games in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers……

SWAZILAND 0-0 NIGERIA (2ND RD, 1ST LEG, 2018 W/CUP QUALIFIER)

The Super Eagles' last World Cup qualifier away from home was against Swaziland under former coach Sunday Oliseh.

The Eagles held Swaziland to a 0-0 draw.

In the second leg at the Adokiye Amasiemaka Stadium in Port Harcourt, the Eagles won 2-0 and progressed into the final group phase.

ETHIOPIA 1-2 NIGERIA (1ST LEG PLAY-OFFS, 2014 WORLD CUP QUALIFIER)

After navigating out of a group that had Namibia, Kenya and Malawi, the Eagles were paired against Ethiopia in the play-offs for a place at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

The first leg took place in Addis Ababa with the Eagles winning 2-1 courtesy Emmanuel Emenike's brace while Behailu Assefa had given Ethiopia the lead.

A 2-0 win for the Eagles in the return leg inside the U.J. Esuene Stadium secured a berth at the 2014 World Cup for the Eagles.

NAMIBIA 1-1 NIGERIA (2ND RD GROUP STAGE, 2014 W/CUP QUALIFIER)

The last team the Eagles faced away in the second round group stage of the 2014 World Cup qualifier was Namibia which ended 1-1.

Deon Kavendji gave Namibia the lead on 77 minutes before Godfrey Oboabona equalized for the Eagles in the 82nd minute.

KENYA 0-1 NIGERIA (2ND RD GROUP STAGE, 2014 W/CUP QUALIFIER)

Kenya shocked the Eagles by holding them to a 1-1 draw in the double header of the second round group stage 2014 World Cup qualifier inside the U.J. Esuene Stadium.

The reverse fixture in Nairobi saw the Eagles make amends by piping Kenya 1-0 thanks to Ahmed Musa's 80th minute goal.

MALAWI 1-1 NIGERIA (2ND RD GROUP STAGE, 2014 W/CUP QUALIFIER)

The first team the Eagles met away in the second round group stage of the 2014 World Cup qualifier was Malawi in Blantyre.

With just one minutes remaining Gabriel Reuben gave the Eagles the lead but John Benda drew Malawi level in the 93rd minute to end the game 1-1.

KENYA 2-3 NIGERIA (3RD ROUND GROUP STAGE, 2010 W/CUP QUALIFIER)

To cement their place at the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, the Eagles needed to beat Kenya in Nairobi in their last group game and hoped Mozambique avoid defeat against Tunisia.

That was eventually achieved as the Eagles won 3-2 while Mozambique beat Tuinisia 1-0.

Dennis Oliech put Kenya 1-0 up in the 15th minute before two quick goals from Obafemi Martins and Yakubu Aiyegbeni in the 60th and 64th minute, gave the Eagles a 2-1 lead.

Allan Wanga equalized in the 77th minute but Martins scored on 81 minutes to end the tie 3-2 in favour the Eagles.

TUNISIA 0-0 NIGERIA (3RD ROUND GROUP STAGE, 2010 W/CUP QUALIFIER)

Tunisia was the second team the Eagles met away in the third round group stage of the 2010 World Cup qualifier.

The game which was played inside the Rades Stadium ended 0-0.

MOZAMBIQUE 0-0 NIGERIA (3RD ROUND GROUP STAGE, 2010 W/CUP QUALIFIER)

The Eagles opened their third round group stage 2010 World Cup qualifier with an away trip to Mozambique.

Both teams failed to break the deadlock thereby settling for a 0-0 draw.

SOUTH AFRICA 0-1 NIGERIA (2ND RD GROUP STAGE, 2010 WORLD CUP QUALIFIER)

In the Eagles' penultimate game in the second round group stage of the 2010 World Cup qualifier, they went away to take on South Africa.

It was an inconsequential game for the Eagles as they had already qualified for the third round of the qualifiers.

With the game being a must win for South Africa, it was the Eagles that emerged 1-0 victors following Ike Uche's 71st minute goal.

EQUATORIAL GUINEA 0-1 NIGERIA (2ND RD GROUP STAGE, 2010 WORLD CUP QUALIFIER)

The Eagles second away trip in the second round group stage of the 2010 World Cup qualifier was away in Malabo against Equatorial Guinea.

The game ended 1-0 in favour of the Eagles after Joseph Yobo scored just five minutes into the game.
