Former Nigeria international, Taribo West, has advised the Super Eagles not to underrate the Chipolopolo of Zambia in their Sunday's 2018 World Cup qualifier in Ndola, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
The Eagles will be guests of the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations winners on Sunday, looking to start he campaign with a vital away win.
This is the 17th time both countries will be facing each other.
And ahead of the Sunday's game, West posited that if the Eagles can replicate the performance they put up against Tanzania, the worst they will get in Zambia is a draw.
"That Zambian team is a very crafty team. I saw their last match, it is a team you can't predict. They have very good players that are intelligent upfront," West told Completesportsnigeria.com.
"The last match I saw Nigeria play was against Tanzania, If they can be consistent with that kind of spirit, they will go to Zambia and comeback with at least a point."
The two-time World Cup defender (France 1998, Korea-Japan 2002) expressed confidence that with the presence of skipper John Mikel Obi and Ahmed Musa, the Eagles should perform.
"With players like Mikel and Musa, it is a very big advantage on our side. With them we should be able to do well."
The former Inter Milan and AC Milan defender however expressed his fears about the Eagles lack of consistent team spirit.
"What I'm always worried about when it comes to the Nigeria team is the consistency of their team spirit," West remarked.
"In the Nigerian team we don't have that consistent spirit which they can use in every match. It is very important to have such spirit on a regular bases, especially facing a team like Zambia."
