Etienne Capoue opened the scoring for the Hornets within a minute, with summer signing Roberto Pereyra doubling the hosts’ lead with a delightful curling effort.
The Foxes fought back and halved the deficit with a first-half penalty from Riyad Mahrez, but could not rescue a point at Vicarage Road.
