Rivers United defensive midfielder Yusuf “Olopa” Jaiyeola has disclosed to Felele247.com that he is optimistic that the club participation of the Port-Harcourt based club in next year CAF champions League will be a great opportunity for them play against Africa’s best clubs.
The former Kwara United defensive midfielder disclosed this after Rivers United warm-up match against City Strikers FC of Abuja.
Rivers United beat City Strikers FC 6-1, the match played at the FIFA goal Project package B Abuja National Stadium this Thursday.
“It will be a great feeling for me and the rest of the team to play in the continental tournament because any club that qualifies for this competition have become a team to beat in Africa and in their various leagues.”
