Lobi Stars Beat Kano Pillars 3:1 to Reach The Finals Of The Ongoing Pre-Season Gold Cup Tournament, Gambo Mohammed put Pillars in front in the 18th minutes while Lobi. Stars forward Sunday Akeleche pulled one back from the penalty spots 37 minutes to equalised for Lobi Stars before half time.
Lobi Stars got the better side of the second half with Nwagwua Nyima missing two glorious chance with 55 minutes in play, he was then met with David Tyavkasse’s through pass which he displaced the goalkeeper with a beautiful side flip into the top roof of the net at 72 minutes to make it 2:1 in favors of Lobi Stars.
Solomon Kwambe brought in some stability to the right full back position while David Tyavkasse and Cletus Itodo get good hold of the midfield to give Lobi Stars a firm control of the game, Kano pillars were fined wanting throughout the second half, as the attack force of Christian Chris and Nyima Nwangwa prove too strong for Pillars to hold.
Christian Chris then added the third goal for Lobi stars with a solo drive from the left flank and at that point, Kano Pillars knew the match was beyond them as Lobi Stars took full control.
