Katsina United long-serving goalkeeper Yinka David celebrates his 26th birthday today.
The former FC Abuja shot stopper has made Katsina his home for over five years and now says he believes the club are on to great things on their return to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) this season.
“I hope we finish in the top-4,” said the articulate David.
“We are a good team who are improving with every game.”
The Petr Cech fan will also hail the new standards the NPFL has attained within a short time.
“The league has improved remarkably particularly the officiating and gives teams courage they could win anywhere now,” he remarked.
The goalkeeper has already made a big statement in the team’s opening day home win against Gombe United.
“We scored two goals in the first half and that took the pressure off us,” he recalled.
“It was also very satisfying to pull off a couple of saves and ensured we won the game.”
