Lobi Stars claimed first home win

A goal from Solomon Kwambe gave Lobi Stars their first home win over former Nigeria Professional Football League side Kano Pillars Football Club of Kano in the 33rd minutes of the encounter in the NPFLMATCHDAY 2 played at the Aper Aku Stadium, Makurdi on Wednesday.
Solomon Kwambe blistering shot was too hot for Kano Pillars goalkeeper, and he failed to parry the ball to safety and pushed the ball into his own net.
The Pride of Benue continue to mount pressure high up the field with too many goal scoring opportunities but couldn’t find the back of the net to make it tow the Nile.

The Makurdi base team came smoking in the second half with the attacking combination of Nwagua, Kingsley Edowu causing all sorts of problem for Kano Pillars defence as Chinedu Udoji was seen busy keeping them off the line.

Anthony Okpotu, Kingsley Edowu, Christain Chris came close at the closing hour mark but fail to convert their chance, Kano Pillars on their own came close twice with Lobi Stars Goalkeeper John Lawerence to me, was the man of the match denied them the opportunities twice.

Stadium was parked as fans of the both teams enjoy their team display classic football Lobi Stars next match will be away to MFM Football club of Lagos this coming weekend
