Niger Tornadoes will begin her 2016/2017 Nigeria Professional Football League opener against Mountain of Fire Ministries (MFM) at the Agege Stadium, Lagos, Sunday.
Niger Tornadoes coach, Abubakar Bala has described the match day one for both teams as tricky one as the clubs have come to know much about themselves.
“We met towards the end of the year at the Gold Cup tournament in Ijebu Ode and we played out a 1-1 draw. I know by now the ball game would be different.
Both sides have acquired new players, therefore it is a game that can go either way, we have put our strategies in place so that we come with positive result at the end of the encounter”, Coach Bala disclosed.
The Minna based side, the Ikon Allah Boys coach said that he intends his side to start the league on a high note as it would be a moral booster for his boys.
He added that he has made couple of new signing which by tomorrow some of them would feature in the match, hoping that at the end of 90 minutes the Minna landlords would return home with their shoulders high.
“We don’t want to be complacent this season, we want to be force to be reckoned with this season, therefore we are going to work hard to achieve our target”, he said.
Speaking to Tornadoesmedia Coach Bala said that he has already dished out his instructions to his lads and introduced them to the philosophy and pattern of play he wants them to play, adding that adhering to his instructions would be of monumental advantage to the team.
Coach Bala added even though both clubs lost some of their key players, the team was able make some good signing and he expect the Agege tie to be explosive.
