Cesc Fabregas Admits Surprise at Being Made Captain by Arsene Wenger During Time at Arsenal

​Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has admitted he was was surprised when Arsene Wenger handed him the captaincy during his time at Arsenal. Fabregas was named as William Gallas' successor in 2008 when the latter was stripped of the role after publicly criticising his teammates and accused them of in-fighting.
