The Lafia City Stadium will host the matchday 6 clash between two North Central clubs Nasarawa United and high-flying Plateau United – who are unbeaten.
The Tin city outfit will be heading into this clash brimming with confidence after going 5 games without a defeat.
The Coach Kennedy Boboye led squad will rely heavily on Philip Azango, who scored a stunner as Plateau United beat his former team Abia Warriors 1-0 in week 5.
Nasarawa United, on the other hand, have a lot to play for in this encounter having amassed 5 points from a possible 15 points – which leaves them at the other end of the table.
Coach Kabir Dogo says he is not moved by his team’s current position on the log and he’s not scared of Plateau United’s current form.
Meanwhile, Nasarawa United skipper, Emmanuel Makama believes Plateau United will return home empty handed.
“We have been working tirelessly to make sure we get the maximum points on Sunday for our teeming fans and also for our team manager Mr Solomon Babanja, who will be plus one come that day,” he concluded.”
Makama is expected to lead the Solid Miners as they hope to end Plateau United’s unbeaten run but with Dele Ajiboye, Elisha Golbe, Philip Azango and Joshua Obaje, the Tin City outfit will have a point to prove in other to maintain their current status in the table.
