NIGER TORNADOES MATCH PREVIEW

With a massive 1-1 draw at the Cathedral in match day five, Niger Tornadoes will go into Sunday’s matchday six against Nigeria Professional Football League debutant Katsina United with high euphoria.

Coach Abubakar Bala has stuck himself to the squad that has executed his last three matches only that Hassan Lawrence new found form in the training has earned him a place in the squad while Tornadoes youth team product Bashir Usman has been rested.

With Ibrahim Ikhide Idele not certified fit by the club’s medics, it all point out that Ibrahim Babawo Abubakar may still command his left back position, however, the manager of the club is opened to many options to adapt as he has a pool of defenders in his squad to choose pending on his formation.

 

 

With a full concentration in the camp of Tornadoes, Captain and Goalkeeper Mustapha Aliko said that the team would exploit all areas to collect the three maximum points at stake.

Aliko said that they needed to use the opportunity especially with the resignation of Bala Nkiyu former coach of Niger Tornadoes who recently resigned his job as the Technical Adviser of Katsina United to use to the avenue to unsettle their visitors.

However the captain said that they were being weary of the dangers Katsina United may pose considering that they drew their last match at home and would come out smoking, but he was confident that Tornadoes will carry the day when they clash at the Confluence Stadium, Lokoja.

Niger Tornadoes central defender Andrew Evans Ikefe was snatched up from Katsina United would be of an added advantage to the home side; however United too also secured the services of the fast and furious former Tornadoes wing attacker, Tasiu Lawal.

Chidebere Blessing Ajoku is in form of his life. The former Heartland player the leading goal scorer for Tornadoes would like to increase his tally as such, Tornadoes would bank on him to continue his scoring form so that a win will move the Minna-based team out of the relegation zone.

Since adopting Confluence Stadium Tornadoes is yet to lose any match in Lokoja.
