A Newcastle United footballer has gained the nation's respect after it emerged he heroically rushed towards the fire at Grenfell Tower knowing friends were trapped inside. 21-year-old Yasin Ben El Mhanni is from the surrounding area, and was down in London visiting his parents on the night of the blaze.
