Mario Gotze will be left out of Borussia Dortmund's first pre-season match against Rot-Weiss Essen, as confirmed by new coach Peter Bosz. The German international has been out of action since February after being diagnosed with a metabolic disorder which he has been recovering from. Gotze will not be risked by Bosz, who will take charge of Dortmund for the first time following his move from last season's Europa League finalists Ajax.
