Abia Warriors proceed on 10 days break
Players and officials of Abia Warriors FC of Umuahia will today begin a ten day christmas break. The team is expected to resume on 3rd January to begin preparations for the commencement of the new football season. The warriors are expected to play their first league match against Rangers International in Enugu.
The Chairman of the team Chief Emeka Inyama on Thursday hosted the team to an end of the year get together party. He advised the team to remain focused on the task ahead, and promised that the management of the club will strive to support them adequately in the new season.
The end of the year party was attended by all the new players including Moses Ocheje, Agbor Ekor, Iroha Ebuka, Uche Ossai, Bihgou Dilane, Abiodun Adebayo, Ogbuagu Emmanuel, Efugh Chinedu, Seun Olulayo, Ifeanyi George, Osondu Jonathan, Obi Samson, Sunday Adetunji, Dele Olorundare, Newman Musa and Okon Otop.
Captain of the team Austin Obaroakpo led the old players comprising of Anozie Chinedu, Nnana Michael, Chinma Uluocha, Henry Ochuba, Ozor Chinedu, Shedrack Asiegbu, Sherif Bashiru, Stanley Okoro, Ndifreke Effiong, Okemiri Anthony, Mohammed Garba among others to the event which was also attended by the Technical Adviser, Felix Okey Emodi, Chief Coach Abdullahi Biffo, Match Reader Patrick Ngwaogu and Assistant Coach Igwe Nnabuike.
