Christian Eriksen will pen a new five-year deal which will more than double his wages at Tottenham.
According to the Daily Mail, Eriksen has agreed to sign a new contract which will see his £32,000-a-week wage rise to £80,000.
The Denmark international’s future at White Hart Lane has been in doubt amid reports earlier this summer that the midfielder was demanding £150,000 a week.
However earlier this month, the 24-year-old’s agent Martin Schoots rubbished the claims.
“The only thing that I can say is that if money were the most important thing, Christian would not have gone to Ajax at the first place,” he told the Evening Standard.
“At the time, he was 16 we were in contact with clubs like Barcelona, Chelsea and AC Milan.
“And if money were the most important thing, he wouldn’t have joined Tottenham three years ago. He had interest from some of the richest clubs in the world.”
